21 Secrets Giveaway (and a painting too)!!

Good morning lovely friends!!
Its time for a giveaway!

I am super excited to be one of the teachers in this years 21 Secrets art journal playground. and my mind has been racing with all of the possibilities of things I could teach. When Connie asked me if I would be one of the teachers in 2013 I was over the moon and immediately started thinking about what I could share with you all.

I am not specifically a journal artist as I normally work LARGE but this past twelve months, much of it spent on the road, I have been spending more time in my journal AND I was lucky enough to attend a weekend workshop by the awesomely talented Orly Avineri who is, in my humble opinion one of the most exquisite journal artists around!

Here is some of the work I did at her workshop. If you ever get the chance to learn with Orly DO IT!! :))
You will love her!

For my 21 Secrets class I decided to offer you a class titled "One thing leads to another": as that pretty much sums up how I work, whether on a gynormous canvas or an itty bitty scrap of paper I play and I play and then I wait to see what comes. Sounds like fun huh? Yesterday I played with no expectation of outcome and ended up with.......

 some flowers in a mug....

an elephant to add to my growing collection....

and a slightly crazy eyed owl.......kind of how I was feeling at the end of this three hour painting frenzy!
SOOOO this week I've been filming like crazy, taking you on an inside tour of my studio

and in a way, taking you on an inside tour of my head! Well at least my creative process :))
Be warned! I don't do pretty letters, I don't use rulers

but I do use my heart
and my intention is to help you use yours.....

Oh and to end up with pretty hands like this!

I wont spill the beans on everything I am offering but we will be looking at the beauty of your very own unique mark and how to express it.

I hope you'll join myself and Connie and all of the other awesome teachers in 21 SECRETS beginning next month!

This month Connie has generously offered me one FREE class to give away to a lucky winner here on my blog!!

To spread the LOVE even further my little owl has told me he would also like to fly away to a new home (too many cats at this one) so I will be including him in the giveaway!

Leave me a comment this week and next and tell me one thing you think is pretty groovy about yourself (dont be shy!) I will announce two winners on Friday 15th March!!

One for the free class and one for the painting. Hoot hoot!!

Good luck to you all!!

love Tracy xox

Footnote* This giveaway is now closed. Big congratulations to Sandra Belegi who won the spot in 21 Secrets and also to Stacie at Whitefeather Designs who is the winner of my little owl painting!! :))

I'm always so inspired by you!!! One groovy thing about me is that I can usually go with the flow! Right now things are really tight financially, which is causing me to use what I have to be creative. I've had to really put on my thinking cap a few times and it's been a really GOOD thing! I would love to win a place in 21 secrets because I wouldn't be able to attend otherwise! Oh! And the owl is precious... as usual with your little creatures!!

This is a very exciting give away Tracy, very generous, & so healing for one lucky person.
Hmmm something pretty groovy about me, you know very well I can be a little shy until I get to know someone, but I do always have a lovely big smile upon my face and will make the effort to connect with others I feel drawn to even if I don't know why I'm drawn to them. I have been told by some very dear old friends of mine, "If Liza's not smiling, then there's something very wrong", you guessed it I'm pretty much always smiling, and I love how that creates a ripple affect and in turn pops a sweet lil smile on others faces too (o: Liza xxx

Hmmm, groovy about me? Well, I've not washed my hair with shampoo since Dec 21, 2012! I only use conditioner. But really, really groovy? I make up songs as many events that happen in a day. Driving to work, sending an email, washing clothes, paying the cell phone bill, etc. Granted I ain't much of a singer, but (much to my co-workers dismay) I sing nonetheless!

>^.^< Feelin' Groovy >^.^<

Slow down, you move too fast.
You got to make the morning last.
Just kicking down the cobble stones.
Looking for fun and feelin' groovy.

Ba da, Ba da, Ba da, Ba da...Feelin' Groovy.

Hello lamp-post,
What cha knowin'?
I've come to watch your flowers growin'.
Ain't cha got no rhymes for me?
Doot-in' doo-doo,
Feelin' groovy.

I've got no deeds to do,
No promises to keep.
I'm dappled and drowsy and ready to sleep.
Let the morning time drop all its petals on me.
Life, I love you,
All is groovy.

I dunno whether to WOOT or HONK, Tracy. A chance to take the class or win the owl (whose twin is already waiting in my office) is SUPER and makes me want to WOOT with joy. Writing one thing that I think is groovy about myself just has me HONK, HONK. Ok, if I can gesso over my painting, I'll take the plunge. I think it's pretty groovy that I can close my eyes and step into the void, trusting that my heart will always lead me home.
There, I said it.<3

Hi Tracy, thank you for the giveaways. I took your class in Life Book, and found it very hard to do abstract. But I LOVE your art and I would LOVE to continue to learn from you. Absolutely! One thing groovy about myself... I really don't know. I don't think I'm a very fun person. So... I have never been drunk. Is that one? LOL

You are really making us earn this chance, aren't you? It would be so much easier if we got to write something we feel is pretty groovy about you and/or your art :) mmmm...one pretty groovy thing about me is that I built a great house out of recycled materials (tires and aluminum cans and reclaimed building materials)that turned out beautiful. It has been my lifetime art project...

This old dog is learning new tricks! I was born in the middle of groovy!

As a treat I do art and craft projects (my husband helps with the prep since I can't bring scissors, hole punches, etc., in with me.) Everything I learn I share with the women I serve. All arts and crafts are a donation (from my family,) we have no budget for supplies. So does this seem grooooovy? I think that helping others to realize how special they truly are is indeed groooooovy! Marge

How one thing lead to another! That pretty much describes where I am at in life. I always have been creative and being a full time artist was always dream in the back of my mind. So after years of following the need to work, raising my family and basically doing life, the opportunity finally slapped me in the face and said "DO IT!, DO IT NOW!". The need to keep my sanity after lengthy surgery rehabs lead me to fulfill a life long dream of being an artist and actually making money at it. Sometimes we just need to listen to all of life's hints and be open to change. One thing lead to another and many new doors have now opened for me. Funny how it all worked out :)

GROOVY GIVEAWAY! The things I think are groovy about moi: sense of humor; the EXTREME shyness I had as a child has given way to the fact I will talk to anyone that crosses my path; and my creative self has confidence and fearlessness.

Hi Tracy! This owl is so awesome and fun! I'd love a chance to win it! One thing that is groovy about me is that I fiercely believe in magic, and the Universe keeps sending 4 leaf clovers my way to prove that I'm right... <3

Groovy, a favorite word, I actually use that word on a most regular basis, if that counts :)
A groovy thing about myself...I am a super-groovy mom. I involve my children in much of my arting, I help them concoct all kinds of their own art projects, I bake cookies, I run their schooling, I teach them all kinds of cool stuff about plants, I play video games and Pokemon card games with them, and generally did well in Mommy Magic School.
My kidlets keep me fresh and honest and smiling.

I have only just discovered I am an artist - it took retirement to discover this and it's brill. That to me is really groovy. A sixty's word for a sixty plus emerging artist. Fab. Fab. Fab. Thanks to you and other artist for your inspiration. Sue x

Cool about me? Perhaps the fact that I make some pretty funky cool postcards. Have been writing up a storm of them and personally keeping the post office in business during this trip to New York City!

I am so looking forward to this course but especially to learn from you! I have looked into several retreats when you will be back in the U.S.A.this year but sadly your courses are always sold out. One groovy thing about me is that I love to look at the world through my artist eyes, one sees the world differently when looking at color, texture, negative space etc...I can see magic wherever I go!

Hi Tracy, would love to win a spot or your cute little owl. One thing that is groovy about me is I have no rhythm, but I love to dance and don't care if people laugh, I just want to enjoy life

OK, this is pretty far down the comment line, but I'll jump in. A groovy thing about myself is that I don't care about being groovy. What you see is what you get.

I love how you create as you go letting things evolve organically. What is groovy about me is that I love to play with the magic language of words through poetry, dream boxes, hand made journals; I wake up withwords, I dream in words and I wakewith words. Blessings, Tanya

What's groovy about me? Hmm.... it's pretty groovy (to me) that I have seriously rekindled my creative spirit! My dream since I was very young has always been to be a working “artist”... to inspire others... to help others see the good in this world. Instead I found myself in a career that is NOT my passion, and it has been a daily struggle. I have recently had some pivotal changes and I am really starting to believe that making a creative living is possible! A class would be a-ma-zing.. and I would be more than honored to display the beautiful painting! :)

I love your elephant paintings!
What is groovy about me? I listen to my intuition and frequently follow it; it seems that when the suggestion feels a little scary, and the outcome is uncertain, those are the experiences that have taught me to trust.

I have fallen in love with your art. The groovy thing I would like to share with you is that I beleave in magic and my own intutituation and listen to it. I am not afraid to show my emotions, weather sad, happy or grossed out. I am teaching myself to play the violin, photography, and how to paint. I am a cancer survivor of 14 years and am trying to make every day count. I have learned to love myself and not try to be someone that I thought others wanted me to be. I am much happier now that I am me, and that I found you.
