Day 14~ 30 days of blog lovin"~ appreciating art ♥

One of the very cool things about writing a daily blog this month is that I get to go through my photo records and find all of the awesome things I wanted to blog about but never got around to....

In February I was lucky enough to be in Brisbane teaching with a day spare ( after meeting 2 new brothers for the first time, but that's another story!) so I wandered along the South Bank...

to the 2nd Asia Pacific of contemporary art Triennal!

and what a visual delight it was to walk alone amongst such inspiration...

 from the tribal...
 to the surreal..
a city of cardboard sprayed in yellow!

 juxtapositions of modern religion

 and ancient worship....
 fascinating light shows....

 and this incredible installation!

then tiny stampedes of glass animals shimmering across a vast table
 the mind boggles!
then a red, red room, reverberating with a thousand recorded voices emanating from the walls

the effect was a little disturbing.....

I emerged to find a rainbow forest...mmmm...much more my style!

hope you enjoyed this gallery walk!
hasta manana!

love Tracy xx

I went with my darling husband and particularly liked the glass stampede its was totally awesome on so many levels. The ideas of migration and fragility. transparency and possibilities of brokenness. It has really stayed with me. I didn't get any photos so am really pleased to be reminded of this again.:-)
