GIVEAWAY!! Three spots in my ecourse!!! Who wants one? ♥

Hello beautiful friends!!

I'm back from Bali where the lovely Louise Gale and I hosted two amazing groups of creative women for my Sacred Marks retreats.

I'm feeling rejuvenated and rearing to go as we continue to put together my very first ecourse and sooooo excited that more than 240 enthusiastic students have registered so far to find their mojo and make their mark!

NEWSFLASH!!

THREE ECOURSE SPOTS TO GIVE AWAY!!

I had really meant to do this earlier but you know, the best laid plans can go astray when you're busy having fu...um, working hard in tropical paradise!

because I've left it a little late I've also decided to extend the early bird price of $197 until midnight Sept 5th (pacific standard time)!!

Woohoo! That's also the day I will draw the names of the three winners :)

Here's how to enter ♥

Leave me a comment below telling me why you'd love to win.
Share this post on your FB page, blog, twitter, pinterest and any other place you feel compelled to.

Then tell me how many shares you made and each one will get you a chance to win!

Easy peasy right?

ps if you decide to register for the early bird price and then you win, I will refund your payment or you can gift it as a scholarship. I have several deserving people in mind ♥

I know you have all been curious about content so I wanted to share some snippets with you. We'll be looking at "tantalising textures", "inky explorations", "palettes of possibility" "pathways to abstraction" and "ban the background/bring on luscious layers" along with many other exciting techniques and processes!

We'll also be exploring ways to cultivate your own unique style, embrace happy accidents and say YES to a looser, happier, more creative YOU!

If you're sitting on the fence and unsure whether to join me in my first ever ecourse this might help you to decide :)

This morning I received an email from an FB friend wanting to join up but confused about my recent FB post with examples of the kinds of things we will be exploring; "are we doing portraits?" the emailer asked, " I love portraits. You didn't mention that in the class description."
Maybe you feel like my class descriptions have been a little ambiguous or unclear.
Let me try to explain why....
Firstly I KNOW that many of you are all ready to venture fearlessly (or anxiously) outside of your comfort zones. You may have already attended an in person workshop or read my book or follow this blog and I'm pretty sure I get that message across in each.
I know you are up for that kind of creative growth and that makes me uber excited!
This will NOT be a class about step by step instructions, about painting a painting like me or even about specific techniques (although I will share lots of those).

This WILL be a class about finding your voice, your style, your confidence. About exploring creative process and possibilities and finding new things, epiphanies from mistakes, happy accidents, making new connections and being open to new dreams.

Maybe you'll find a portrait from your palette or an elephant in your inky explorations, or maybe you'll find something you never even dreamed of.

I WILL challenge you to shift perspectives and the way I will be doing that is by inviting you into my own process as I do the same.

There will be two very different video deliveries each week.

One, a professionally filmed HD video that follows the progress of one of my large format paintings. This will be very much like attending a live two day workshop with me and I will talk you through the moves I make, the symbols I use, the colours I choose, the problems I encounter and how I solve them.

My intention is for you to paint a large painting alongside me and from the pics below from two of my in person workshops you can see that there will be many variations that will come from this process.

The OTHER weekly videos will be more intimate, less polished, just me (and you, and maybe a kitty or two) in my studio with my camcorder exploring ideas to share with you.

Here's the thing...
I LOVE to be in the same heart/mind space as my students. My workshops are never rehearsed or planned to the last detail. I am ALWAYS open to heading off in brand new directions and these videos will show that.
Although in each one I do start off with a general idea of the project that will go with the weekly theme I have not rehearsed or tested the project beforehand in any case.
This is so EXCITING as you will be right there with me as I make a new discovery OR change direction OR create a little side project from my leftover paint that will reappear in a later week. You will be right there as I make a mistake or LOVE what I am doing or decide I DON'T like what I am doing, or get a bit frustrated or stick my brush in my coffee (well I haven't done that yet but you never know, I'm still filming.)

In essence you will be there with me in my slightly messy, definitely not "styled" creative space and together we will move forward and get stuck and make messes and beauty all at the same time.
Along with the videos there will be PDF's and prompts and explanations and inspirations..lots and lots.
Does this all make sense??

Are you READY to let go of any preconceived notions and TRUST?
Are you with me?
Good luck everyone!! Winners announced on the morning of Sept 5th.
Hope to see you when the classroom doors open Sept 24th. Our FB community is already buzzing with excitement!

If you're ready to register and want to make sure you catch the early bird go here right now :)

lots of love Tracy♥

ps this giveaway is now closed. Congrats to the lucky winners Beth Weatherford, Suzanne Schroder and Michelle Reuss! You can still register for Paint Mojo the ecourse until end October! :)

Wow thank you for being so generous and inspirational at the same time.

My dream would be to be able to find my inner voice in my artwork. I am challenged by my personal critic all the time. I often am afraid to work from my imagination and at the same time don't know where to start.

I look forward to the option to make mistakes and learn from them. Also to loosen up and trust my instincts.

You work is very inspirational and I hope to get the chance to join in your class.

Thank you.

I'm already signed up for the class and I can't wait… I'm also signed up for your class in California in 2015 :) If I won, I would give it to my friend who recently lost her husband. She is the most awesome lady and I moved across the country shortly after her husband died. I would love for her to do the class along with me and I know she would never spend the money on herself to do it. I'm really looking forward to it starting soon!!

Hi Tracy! I would simply adore taking your class. I'm in the early stages of my art career. I made the leap from a very unsatisfying career into my heart & soul, making art and sharing it with the world. I don't have a formal art background and am currently teaching myself various techniques. The thing I'm most "struggling" with right now is in finding my artistic voice. I'm confident that I can master most techniques but I can't seem to nail down what it is I want/need to say with my art. I'm reading several books about this topic, including yours, and I feel your class would benefit me so much in finding my voice and fully embodying the artist that I am. Thank you for your generosity in offering a few spaces in this class.

I have already paid for my spot..but if I were to win one of the 3 spots..I would give it to my close friend Ann S.. she is a wonderful artist, but unfortunately she has developed an illness that has caused her to loose her peripheral vision..this is not something she could or would purchase for herself. I would love to see her face light up if I could win it for her. Thank you Tracy.

Hi Tracy....we all sound like a similar chorus lol. Oh wow I would love to win a spot too. I have loved watching your artworks evolve and those whom you teach as well. I was to do your face to face class in Cairns but due to me not being able to find work I had to pull out which was devastating but unavoidable. It would be amazing to win a spot but if its not to be I hope another opportunity comes my way in the future :). Ill share in FB, my blog, Pinterest and Instagram. Hugs Annette

I don't really "get" painting. Yet. Washes to enhance what I'm working on yes, slathering colour for backgrounds yes ...would love to learn from your thought processes. I've come back from an Art Is You retreat ready to keep expanding skill sets to express myself (and a bit broke). Though what Annette Husband didn't mention in her comment was that she missed out on this retreat as well, having had knee surgery this week. She will be laid up for a while. This sounds like an excellent class to help me rediscover my joy in art after a summer spent trying to recover from a grueling 11th surgery. Somewhere in all the doctors' visits, wound care (for an incision 9 weeks out that still isn't closed), pain meds, and PT work, I've completely lost touch with my muse. I really need an infusion of bright colors and paint play! Keeping my fingers crossed!

Dear Tracy, I would love to win a free spot on your class…. I´m a self-taught creative person, and the jump to my art - hobby - career began in 2011 after my Grandma died in Oct. 2010. My heart&soul were in so much pain and drawing, painting, poetry and art were my get away… I’m still looking to find my unique style and my artist voice but it´s in this creative world that I find peace. Thanks for your blessed heart and talent, and I hope to get lucky on this Giveaway to learn from you and grow in this world full of possibilities. Shared on my blog and FB page xxx

I would love to take your course as I love to paint free, but I find it really a challenge. I get so uptight and stiff when I paint and I want to get away from that. My life has been so consumed with work lately and no time for me and paying with paint would be just what the doctor ordered.

I can't think of a reason why I *don't* want a place on this ecourse!!!
but as you asked for a reason, I will choose this one; I was inspired by a friend's 100 paintings in 100 days challenge and it moved me so much that I thought of doing something similar for myself as I just never prioritising my creativity and never allow myself the time to make art - everything else comes first. Just watching my friend 'keep up' with the challenge gave me palpitations! :o) And The thought of doing a similar challenge absolutely terrified ,me... so I knew I just had to do it. Starting Sep 1st I will make something every day; a painting, a poem, a collage, a piece of jewellery - anything! This feels sooo significant to me. And your book has just arrived! This feels like Divine timing all round. All of my fingers and toes are firmly crossed!!! Love your process and love your paintings Tracy, thank you xxx

I am so looking forward to this class. I've loved being creative since childhood, but never had any training or classes outside the normal cut-and-paste art classes offered in school at that time. After raising my family and retiring, I decided to pursue my interest. It seems a monster was unleashed, except that I've been kinda a "copycat" artist. In this class I hope to learn how to find my authentic self & make my own style of art. I love the color, the largeness and the freedom that I see in my future.

Hi Tracy! Thanks so much for the opportunity to win a place in your first e-course! Although I have found my own voice and style as an artist, I always believe and encourage myself to evolve, or to see and do things in a different perspective. I admire your life approach to painting: learning to embrace those happy accidents, deciding when to cover up, scrape away paint to reveal underlying layers, or simply going with the flow- exercising my intuitIon.

I've shared 12 times (so far) via: email, Google+, 2 Facebook pages + 6 private FB groups, Pinterest, AND LinkedIn!!

Oh, I need to take this course! I've been exploring "aimless wandering" as a way to find my true artistic voice in the past year. This has been a real challenge for me because I have always over-planned and over-thought my art work. It's so hard to surrender control, and I know that your guidance and inspiration would have such an impact!

I was a late starter and am still restricted by notions of what traditional artists have done before me. I want to LET GO, throw some paint around, lash out with colour. Your work is so happy and uplifting...if I could make stuff like that I'd be a happy girl.

I'm so excited about this class and really want to take it - I'm super excited that the early bird was extended as that works with my budget schedule... so thank you for that! I want to take it because I'm in the process of trying to hone my style and really find my voice. I want to push myself to go beyond my boundaries and my comfort zone and try new things and see where it leads me. I think this is going to be awesome.

Hi Tracy, I'd love to win a spot on your ecourse. I'm still searching for my true voice on the canvas. I have a tremendous willingness to grow and just go with what shows up when I paint but sometimes I get stuck and don't know where to go next. I think it comes down to confidence. I have quite a lot of unfinished canvases that are crying out for attention and I feel your ecourse will be the catalyst for change and completion! Thank you for the opportunity. I've shared on face book, pinterest and twitter.

Thank you for your generosity, both sharing your time and talent and an opportunity to win a free spot in your amazing class! I would love to win this ecourse for many reasons! Until recently I had been showing and selling my painting fairly successfully for someone just starting her own business. As a result I was invited to do a solo show in a local gallery (something I had dreamed about had come true!). However, as soon as this invitation was extended I mysteriously hit a major " dry" spell and for the last 7 months have been unable to complete even one painting! Talk about wanting one's "mojo" back! I came upon this ecourse in my search for help and I am hoping that along with some hard work that it will help me move in the right direction once again and get out of this intense slump. For an artist nothing seems more painful than not being able to do the thing one loves most.

I have posted the link on Twitter (@stamp202). Thanks again.

I would SOO love to participate in this class and would be honoured to win because:

A. this is my birthday weekend, how cool a gift would that be?

B. I saw your article in Somerset Studios on painting from a piece of poetry shortly before Maya Angelou's passing and using your method I painted THIS inspired by her. I can't wait to see what could come out of a whole class with you.

I have been admiring your art and wishing to take your class for at least a couple of years now. It's been so long since I did anything creative (health reasons and home remodel reasons, and childcare and parentcare reasons) that I don't even know if I still have it in me. But I look at your work, and something inside whispers "yes" and that is why I'd love to win your class, to see if that whisper can learn to shout again.

I think the thing I struggle with most is, finding my "style." And it really is about finding my voice. I love your style, so free and "messy" and alive. I find it very hard to work that way, but I think if I could master that, well, it would be life changing. I will share this on FB and Pinterest. Congratulations to the winners of your fabulous freebies!

A few years ago you were teaching in the US only about an hour from my home. I wanted to go but was afraid to go alone (darn fear) and have regretted it ever since. I'm thrilled you're offering an e-course. My husband and I are in the process of opening a performing arts studio--we are putting the finishing touches on the building now and I am really in need of a different kind of creative outlet for awhile. The course looks beautiful and wonderful! Of course. :) I hope I can take it!

I so got so much from reading your book. It would truly mean the world to me to win one of your ecourses. I spend most of my days at home due to two chronic illnesses that caused me to retire at a very early age (43) & thank goodness I found art! I take as many classes as I can afford (which isnt many) but for the most part have taught myself everything I know now. I have shared this 5 times and plan on sharing it even more!!! If I were to be so fortunate to win your class I would be SO HAPPY THAT I MIGHT JUST SHOUT FROM THE ROOFTOP that finally a bit of luck had come ny way. Art has given me a reason to get up out of bed everday no matter how much pain Im in---and to remember to stay strong when I feek so weak. Your book sits on my studio work table and I refer to it A LOT! I HOPE TO BE A LUCKY WINNER!---Beth W. (Nashville, TN)
