22 days of gratitude and giveaways! Days 10-12

Its Kyla here today, Tracy’s assistant,  having a turn at gratitude goddess, as Tracy is deeply immersed in her Paint Mojo retreat in Durfort, France.

As Tracy finds an abundance of inspiration and beauty on her travels through the streets of France with her students. I have been grateful for simple abundance, in my own backyard, literally...

Isn't it sometimes true, that you only realise how grateful you are for the life you lead, when you go away and come back. Let me explain.....

As a young lady that lives in a small coastal town, I sometimes seek new inspiration and a splash of a new culture/s. So I often take a trip to my nearest city, Sydney (Australia).
It always opens my romantic eyes and mind, in just the way they need to be opened and gives me time on the train commute to reflect on a hundred new idea's and inspirations, but what brightens me up most after the flash of city lights, is that I am heading home, back to my quiet life surrounded by nature.

I am grateful for the chance to experience the city's frills; the Modern Contemporary art gallery, seeing the quirky characters of all different backgrounds, dress sense, attitude and disposition. Eating something new, being a tourist and seeing with fresh eyes!

....................

But I am most grateful when i drive home from the train station over the little bridge, over the lake and take a right into my street; to my soul friend (my husband Adam) and to my grounding place; my lake shack home  ❤️❤️❤️

Not just the bliss of walking in the front door and taking off your shoes
(maybe your bra too!?)

But you can be just the 'you' you feel most comfortable to be, when you feel at home.

Our veggie garden is one part that makes home feel so abundant for me.....

Whether home to you; is when you are with a certain person, in your gypsy van on the open road , in your house or maybe home to you is a faraway place in your dreams...

Find a moment to be grateful for the feeling of belonging that 'home' brings you, i promise once you do... it will provide you with more magic and abundance than you could have even imagined!

Thanks for sharing in my gratitude x
                                                                   Kyla
                                                       (Kylastoneart.com )

Now to the other special part...... The giveaway of Three places in Paint Mojo, the e-course

A big smiley congratulations goes to:

Laura Grant

Shirley (Colorado)

Lura Brown

I cant wait to hear what is making your heart soar in content & gratitude.......

Kyla x

I am so grateful that I found my google password and can take part in this. We were away from home for a few days and I put my password notebook so safely away that I couldn't find it again! I am really soooo grateful to have All my passwords again! Does this happen to anybody else?

Today I am thankful for strength. Strength that comes from within, when we most need it. Exactly six months ago my world turned upside down, I took a course on painting from intuition. It opened up a whole world for me, and also opened past wounds of a trauma I had as a teenager, which was very hard to bring back up but actually started to heal the wound that I had tired to shut away but never faced head on. Painting for me is a healing balm and also gave me the strength to pull out of depression. I still have a long way to go, but I am trying to be strong and hope to be able to continue this journey with Tracy, and find my Mojo :)

Today I am grateful for my health. It's been shaky these past 3 months and medical tests have been costly...but even though I still don't know what is wrong...today feels like a good day...not as much pain or tingling in my hands. That's always good...so maybe I'll get to finally spend time this weekend painting!

I am grateful for grandparents. My dad just took my kids fishing and they had so much fun. I am very thankful they are able to have these special outings
Today I am grateful for my sore body - my stepdaughter and I spent the morning working in our yard, trimming back plants & trees, weeding and throwing things away. We got so much done before our afternoon Thunderstorm, which felt like it was washing out all of the old junk, and cleaning everything up for a brand new fresh morning tomorrow. I am grateful for my Husbands homemade guacamole (he doesn't even like it - he makes it just for me!!) And I am grateful to be sending out a postcard to Great Britain tomorrow for the Love Notes Project - meeting a new pen-pal, and creating my own postcard to send to her based on a writing prompt. It's been a wonderful week, but now it's time for bed. Whew!!!

Today I am thankful for the sweet little bunny that came to see me in my garden. The bunnies in my yard are always a highlight to the summer. A couple years ago we had a big owl in the yard that would kill the bunnies and I haven't seen one since until the other day when that sweet little guy was chomping on the lush foliage.

Today I had a crazy day at work at the airport, people extra nervous with this 40 deg heat and humidity, and the summer Holliday frenzy, I thought what on earth could I possibly be thankful for after a day like that? So I came home, kicked off my shoes and took a shower and realized, this is what I'm thankful for, right now, that I'm back home, and finaly have some time to relax and do some art even, since my husband and son are at the beach and I have some free time this evening... Ready to he messy wth some paint! :) thank you Tracy for this opportunity and to be reminded that even on the worst of days we can always find Someting to be grateful for ;)

So very grateful for all the blessings in my life! One is a beautiful friendship I have with my next door neighbor. We watch out for each other, have fun together, share dinner at least once a week. We are a bit of an unlikely "couple" and it works beautifully. She's become my BFF. The last year has been really challenging for me and Jan has been there for me even when she didn't know how much I needed her. She became a widow almost 3 years ago after 50 years of marriage and I was able to help her through some of her tough days as we were getting to know each other. It's a friendship made in heaven. My house is for sale due to my divorce and I will be leaving the area but I know we will continue our friendship and love for each other for the rest of our lives.

In the early morning hours we had a fantastic thunderstorm; a beautiful show of the power of nature. I am so grateful that when I was a little girl my mother told me that thunder happens when the angels are bowling and lightening happens when they hit all of the pins. She took my fear away and gave me the ability watch thunderstorms with awe and joy.

I am grateful for being able to be a parent, always asking myself if I'm making the best choices for my girls. At the end of an exhausting day hoping I've contributed in the best possible way to their upbringing ( and forever doubting myself) I love putting my nose in their hair and just hold them and smell the best perfume in the world.
Just that makes me grateful, every time ( maybe just a mum thing???)

And I shared on Facebook too :) :) :)

Not just today but everyday I am grateful to those that have the courage to do the things I do not have the courage to do myself and providing other ways for me and the community to support them in their courageous endeavours - people such as Malala Yousafzai who fights for the rights of girls/woman's education, Blink Now's founder Maggie Doyne who has adopted over 50 children to save them from poverty and provide them with food, shelter, clothing and an education - I am grateful for those people and those just like them xx

today I am grateful for a little house that we call our home, a family that loves each other without question, a job that I like, and being able to share my life and love with our furry friends. thank you also for the opportunity to put into words what I am grateful for each day, its a good practice to have.
Today I am extremely grateful that I got a nurse who was aces at starting an IV line for my 3 day steroid infusion. Last month, I had a n infiltration (vein punctured) which forced my medicine into the tissue in my arm, which was painful. This was a pretty big deal for me. So glad I had a better experience this time. It's hard enough having treatment.
