"Hi Tracy.....I’ve followed your artwork for a couple of years now. I never dreamed I’d get the chance to learn your beautiful painting techniques live and in person. When I met you in St. Pete It didn’t take long for me to go from being a fan of your work, to also being a fan of yours and the way you teach. You have such a fun way of teaching that really got through to us. You gave us instructions, while keeping the class from getting too focused on perfection. We learned how to follow our own intuition, rather than just duplicating your work. There were so many layers; Not only in our paintings, but in the class itself. From the painting, sketching, symbolism, poetry, and music, to the laughter, friendship, and circle time on the beach. It was all just so perfect! I went to your workshop hoping to bring home some new painting techniques, which I did, but I actually left there with so much more than that. I made lasting friendships, gained a new confidence in my artwork, shared a special experience being there with my mother, and I now I get to look forward to the next St. Pete Paint Mojo. For me that’s a huge deal, as I generally shy away from group settings. The entire weekend was wonder filled, and I wouldn’t trade this magical experience for anything. Thank you, Tracy!! ~Rischa Heape

"Inspiring, wonderful, amazing, insightful, creative, fabulous, energising, heartwarming and truly unique. Tracy has opened the door to a new artistic chapter in  life and I highly recommend 'Painting Mojo' it to anyone interested in unlocking their intuitive creativity and taking their artistic journey to the next level" ~Gaby

Excited to attend a workshop instead of teaching one, I attended Tracy Verdugo’s “Sacred Marks”, in the fall of 2012 and oh what a “sacred” gift she gave.  I was blessed by Tracy giving me creative space to find my way through some of my intellectual concepts around art and my work which allowed me to let a wall down and explore the possible, be uncomfortable in the uncomfortable.  Even though I use this approach in most of my professional works it could have been a road block and almost was but I pushed through to the concept of a different approach to what already was inside.  Just as there are different ways to get juice from an orange there are different ways to express our spirit with paint.
In Tracy’s workshop not only did I connect to my spirit more deeply with my paint but with the soul’s that surrounded me.  Energy is powerful when shared!
No matter what your artistic level is at, even a professional, there is always room to share spirit and explore possibilities.  I highly recommend this class with Tracy, you will not go home disappointed.

~Roberta Mockus

What a wonderful weekend I just had.

I was lucky enough to attend Tracy Verdugo’s Paint Mojo workshop held in Brisbane.
It was SO much fun. Tracy’s a wonderful teacher, her passion for painting and art can really be felt, and her warmth and sharing is so incredibly special.
We spent two full days learning so many new techniques and i came away with so many ideas to integrate into my own practice.~ Janine Whitling

Get loose!

If  Tracy Verdugo was given the opportunity to coin a term for a new art movement based around what she teaches  she  might call it “Curiosity and Wonderism”or  maybe “Loosen-upism” or “Endless possibilitism”

When she is not hanging out with her family in their artsy adobe home in a small village on the shores of Jervis Bay, Australia, or throwing paint around in her little purple studio in their backyard, you may find her wrangling with two large suitcases attempting to board the BART in San Francisco en route to teach at an art retreat or sitting in a circle on St Pete Beach Florida listening intently as women share their stories of creative longing.

Tracy is an inspiration instigator, prolific painter, singer/songwriter and lover of the written word, smitten traveller and soaker up of all that is beauty-full.  She teaches her Paint Mojo and other creative workshops all over this amazing planet and reminds her students of the wonder that already resides within them.

Mostly though she is mama bear to two gorgeous, zest-filled daughters, Santana and Sienna, and co-adventurer  in life with her amor of 28 years, the talented and brilliant Marco.

"To live a creative life we must lose our fear of being wrong"

— Joseph Chilton Pearce

With a focus on gratitude, letting go of our inner critic and open-minded investigation Tracy will share tips and techniques on creating vibrant, expressive, colourful paintings, using acrylics, ink and pastels. She will gently guide you into your own personal creative flow and guide you through the elements of design, colour and composition in both figurative and abstract works. During the workshop we will also look at creating personal symbols and imbuing your art with sense of meaning.
No previous art experience is required for this workshop, just a willingness to learn and to be open to the possibility that we are all creative souls capable of beauty and wonder.

Artists Statement

“The universal theme of connection underlies all of my work; connection to each other and the ways in which we express our humanity; connection with the natural world and the beauty that surrounds us; connection with the divine and a sense of something greater at work in our lives. My paintings are often created intuitively and I am often surprised at the finished piece. I am inspired by our travels in Mexico and other places and the colours, exuberance of Spirit and magical experiences I have shared with my family during our travels. I love texture and the sensuality, rhythm and pattern of fabrics and often incorporate these mixed media elements into my work. I like to believe that we are all part of an intricate and breathtaking tapestry. Our only choice in each moment is whether to be a part of the creating or a part of the unravelling. “

Hi! I have a silly question. I am looking at one of your workshops and it says registration now open. It is for one in North Carolina. I don't see a link to click on though, to get more information? Thanks!
