Thirty days of gratitude~Day one

 Pilgrims in Juquila, Oaxaca coming to ask the Virgencita for a favour~in 2008 we visited the virgen and asked for some favours of our own. Marco wrote about our experience here . I will be ever grateful for her response and in Dec 2015 we plan to return, as is the custom, to give thanks for our milagros. I've been thinking a lot about gratitude lately,  sometimes it's overwhelming......in the best way. and yet I still find myself losing perspective at times part of being human I guess... and so today in a flash (not a hot one, although I have been getting my fair share of those!), after a very lucid glimpse into an exciting future idea I have decided to engage in another thirty days of blogging, this time to reflect on the myriad of people, places and happenings that bring me such an incredible sense of gratitude. Day 24~30 days of blog lovin' My haphazard perfect/imperfect career line continued!

Happy Sunday everyone!  Just back from a lovely walk along the beach with mi amor and ready to continue where I left off on Fridays blog telling you all about my (ahem) diverse and colourful career path that has led me perfectly to this moment..... So if you remember...... we left off with me as Ranger Tracy with a slightly offensive fruit bat named Stinky hanging from my arm..... (see here if you missed it) Just as my career with National Parks amped up, and it seemed I was about to be offered a regular stint on TV, Marco and I made the huge decision to sell our property and take off overseas for a couple of years before settling down to have children... Always the entrepeneur, and with my creative spark beginning to rear its head, I had begun to dabble in creating dried flower arrangements using native Australian flora. A few large orders had seen me sprawled out on our loungeroom floor with baskets, florists foam, dried flowers and seed pods spread from one...

            Painting Miss Daisy...a parting gift for my wonderful N.Carolina host Phyllis Peterson. as time slips away on this wonderful adventure   and one amazing experience leads into the next    my days are so filled with new friends, new places and experiences    that I dont know that i'll ever find the time to describe this trip the way i would like.  Perhaps when I get home to Australia...we'll see :) I have been working on this post for the past week and have realised that I may have to break it down so here is part one :)  For now, sitting here in my hotel room in Orlando where Sienna has joined me for a weekend of fun  I will attempt to give you a whirlwind glimpse into the happenings of the past few weeks.  I arrived back in California from the East Coast mid October and spent three blissful days in Baja California Mexico with my awesome man, celebrating 25 ye...

August 2012 Hard to believe that there could be so much happening in just one month a wonderful trip to Melbourne...my first!   a day to see the sights  my first ever "alone sightseeing" experience!  and then on to teach Paint Mojo!  with a bunch of wonderful women  who filled my spirit with such gratitude and joy to be able to share what I know and learn along the way Thank you to Wini and Liza for being such wonderful hosts and for your lovely recounts of the weekend here and here .  Thanks also to the talented Kylie Fowler, one of my fellow Life Book teachers for her great post here!  coming home from Melbourne and having Santana come stay for a couple of weeks as her apartment was not yet ready to move into.......watching this moment and appreciating it so much in the knowledge that within the week Santana would be leaving home for Sydney and Sienna and I would be flying to America......an ordinary m...
