2016 recap and giveaway!!!

Well hello, hello  my intrepid, awesome, beautiful family and friends!   Happy holidays and much love, peace, connection,  joy AND a plethora of all good things your way, as we head rapidly towards a brand new year!! I know some of you may have begun to think that I had fallen off the edge of the blogosphere and others have been following along with my topsy turvy 2016 journey on Instagram and Facebook, sending so much love and support my way, that I have spent the better part of my year utterly astonished and grateful for this tribe that I belong to so intrinsically. I'm going to keep this recap post MUCH shorter than previous years. Not because it has been any less incredible but because I am partially on a PAUSE and that means tending to my own self care and stepping back a little from the crazy pace I have set for myself these past few years. As usual though, my favorite part of writing this end of year post is that I get to host a GIANT GIVEA...

22 days of gratitude and giveaways- day three

So grateful today to be able to move my body and also to have a man who appreciates and even  encourages my dorkiness. "Give me your best Kate Bush Wuthering Heights dance" He says,  and so I do.... So where did we leave off yesterday?  Oh right, I was going to tell you a story...... Off in the distance we could see a ruin And beyond that, a tall Celtic cross and a lighthouse..... A stumbled upon scene We had no idea.... We come to this sign and we learn about Dwynwen, the Welsh patron Saint of lovers who lived here on this land some 1600 years ago as a hermit.  Reading her story I feel infinitely grateful for the freedom that many more women now have over their own destinies although I know that there is still much room for change...... Dwynwen lived during the 5th century and legend has it that she was one of the prettiest of Brychan Brycheiniog's 24 daughters. Dwynwen fell in love with a prince called Maelon...

22 days of gratitude and giveaways- day two!

So grateful today to read all of your posts each one reminds me of the multitude of blessings we all have even in the darkest times we can focus on the small things that  bring us joy i'm also grateful for being lost  and found one brings us to a place which can feel scary but can also offer fresh perspectives elements of surprise spiritual epiphanies the other feels like coming home safe, nurturing, whole. but it would be hard to recognise one  without the other wouldn't it? ❤️ Tomorrow I'll tell you a little story  about getting lost and found earlier this week  on the enchanted Isle of Anglesey in Wales.  It involve s a walk through this forest.... And a fifth century Celtic saint who once lived beyond this gate.... Until then I'm super excited to announce the very first winner of my 22 days of gratitude and giveaways!! The winner for Day one is CINDY BENKO!!! Congratulations Cin...

Thirty days of gratitude~Day one

Pilgrims in Juquila, Oaxaca coming to ask the Virgencita for a favour~in 2008 we visited the virgen and asked for some favours of our own. Marco wrote about our experience here . I will be ever grateful for her response and in Dec 2015 we plan to return, as is the custom, to give thanks for our milagros. Sienna in 2008 looking at the crosses of pilgrims who have returned to give thanks for wishes that have been granted. I've been thinking a lot about gratitude lately,  sometimes it's overwhelming......in the best way. and yet I still find myself losing perspective at times part of being human I guess... and so today in a flash (not a hot one, although I have been getting my fair share of those!), after a very lucid glimpse into an exciting future idea I have decided to engage in another thirty days of blogging, this time to reflect on the myriad of people, places and happenings that bring me such an incredible sense of gratitude. I...
