Thirty day gratitude check in-day 6 and 7 plus giveaway winners announced!

Dear amazing friends and family, A very small post today , not because I have not much to be grateful for but because, since I started this challenge i've been finding myself more and more steeped in gratitude in every small unfolding moment. That's how it works you see. It's a universal law. Whatever you focus on expands So today I am grateful that yesterday I took a day off from blogging AND enjoyed a gorgeous Sunday with mi amor.  And today I am grateful for our home, a true labour of love over the past 20 years and the masterpiece of the man I love. Let me tell you a very short story Once upon a time there was a man and his wife and their two very cute daughters who wanted to find a home to call their own. They didn't have much money so they scrimped and saved and found an old house near the beach that had good bones and a lot of potential. For ten years they did little bits and pieces when they could afford to, a splash of paint...

Thirty day gratitude check in-Day five and a celebration announcement and giveaway!

Today Facebook reminded me that it has been exactly five years since I took the giant leap towards quitting my day job as a teachers aide in Special Ed and transitioning from a small town after school art class teacher to teaching my workshops and retreats all over this gorgeous world! I am over the moon grateful for this and still pinch myself regularly to make sure that its real! On this weekend five years ago I taught my very first Paint Mojo workshop!!! A small group of us gathered in a local barn to paint, explore and share stories. It was low key, I was super nervous and not really sure of myself but I gave the best that I had at the time. Since then I have taught over 100 in person workshops around this beautiful planet, the best part of which has been meeting, communing and creating with so many gorgeous, amazing and inspiring souls!! My heart is so full when I think about each and every one of you and how far we have come together and how much amazi...

Wanderlust and wonderment-update four

**Note I'm now calling these travel posts updates as my desire to post daily doesn't seem to match the amount of hours I actually have in the day! Enjoy and big hugs from Dublin! After a fabulous weekend in Brighton with 24 beautiful creatives, a catch up with my amazing friend Erin Faith Allen who came to paint and film moi for her documentary series on women artists, and a perfect home stay with the amazing Tamara Laporte and family, it was time for mi amor and I to head off to the Welsh countryside for three days of rest and respite before my upcoming five day retreat in West Cork Ireland.  the lovely Clare Campbell founder of Big Love Sista lost in splendiferous colour!  the irrepressible Tam and I- so excited to announce that I will be teaching in Life Book again in 2016!  We arrived at our Airbnb studio in the Welsh countryside and settled in before enjoying this magnificent sunset, looking forward to days ahead of rambling through ...

Wanderlust and wonderment~day one

Hello my little buttercups!! I know, I know........ its been a while between drinks, um posts! (she says while remembering a long pint of Guinness recently downed in an 800 year old pub)...... and I know this to be true, because as I type, I'm hearing me own voice in me own mind, read out these words with a distinctive, if a little mixed up English accent!! Yep that's right, we're finally here on UK soil, soaking up the scenery and history after a rigorous and wonderful tour of the U.S which saw me teaching twelve 2-5 day workshops in 12 weeks!!                                So I know you will understand when I tell you there wasn't much time for blog posts in the beautiful US of A but I had a fabulous time as always and felt my heart expand time and time again as I shared the Paint Mojo experience with students and friends, new and old! And so her...

Hola my little petunias! Yes its Spring here in Australia♥ Glorious wonderful Spring the time when I get a little goofy and say things like "Hola my little petunias!" the time when I get my hands in the dirt and plant some little seedlings  to provide us with summer salads the time when the beautiful Koels fly all the way from New Guinea to live in our backyard a while and wait for the mulberries to ripen a time for throwing open doors  and stepping out onto the balcony barefoot to greet the morning sun a time to stroll around the garden and revel in the  profusion of daisies and nasturtiums tumbling down the fence self seeded, just doing their own thing year after year... a time for completion, like this massive buffalo commission  I have been working on for more than a year finally finished  I have fallen in love with it ♥ but soon it will be on its way to Florida to live with my b...
