Its Kyla here today, Tracy’s assistant, having a turn at gratitude goddess, as Tracy is deeply immersed in her Paint Mojo retreat in Durfort, France.
As Tracy finds an abundance of inspiration and beauty on her travels through the streets of France with her students. I have been grateful for simple abundance, in my own backyard, literally...
Isn't it sometimes true, that you only realise how grateful you are for the life you lead, when you go away and come back. Let me explain.....
As a young lady that lives in a small coastal town, I sometimes seek new inspiration and a splash of a new culture/s. So I often take a trip to my nearest city, Sydney (Australia).
It always opens my romantic eyes and mind, in just the way they need to be opened and gives me time on the train commute to reflect on a hundred new idea's and inspirations, but what brightens me up most after the flash of city lights, is that I am heading home, back to my quiet life surrounded by nature.
I am grateful for the chance to experience the city's frills; the Modern Contemporary art gallery, seeing the quirky characters of all different backgrounds, dress sense, attitude and disposition. Eating something new, being a tourist and seeing with fresh eyes!
....................
But I am most grateful when i drive home from the train station over the little bridge, over the lake and take a right into my street; to my soul friend (my husband Adam) and to my grounding place; my lake shack home ❤️❤️❤️
Not just the bliss of walking in the front door and taking off your shoes
(maybe your bra too!?)
(maybe your bra too!?)
But you can be just the 'you' you feel most comfortable to be, when you feel at home.
Our veggie garden is one part that makes home feel so abundant for me.....
Whether home to you; is when you are with a certain person, in your gypsy van on the open road , in your house or maybe home to you is a faraway place in your dreams...
Find a moment to be grateful for the feeling of belonging that 'home' brings you, i promise once you do... it will provide you with more magic and abundance than you could have even imagined!
Now to the other special part...... The giveaway of Three places in Paint Mojo, the e-course
A big smiley congratulations goes to:

I cant wait to hear what is making your heart soar in content & gratitude.......

After a hectic (but fun-filled) family weekend I am clearing up the whole house whilst listening to some loud reggae music.
(Reggae is music from my youth - quite a time ago!)

I am grateful for the community of artists that have become my tribe on this journey. Some I see in person and some are far away or only on line, and yet I know them by heart. A great gift!
Thanks for filling in for Tracy.
And what a score from your garden! Isn't it the best to have such fresh and wonderful food grown by you?!
I too am grateful to have a garden full of fresh goodness to feed my body and nourish my soul!
hugs to you!

So I'm grateful for the scent of woodsmoke at sundown. And grateful that my nose works!
Gratitude today for the kindness of friends when I need it the most. They have been so sweet to me as my husband recovers from a major heat attack & surgery. Grateful too for the comfort & love of a good and faithful dog. My needs are simple: I just want everyone I love to be happy & healthy.

Today I am grateful for sight, I don't think we really think about it. But if we did not have sight we could not enjoy those beautiful pictures you shared with us today. The art Tracy shares! Trees and the sky with great big fluffy clouds, flowers and even the moon. Yep today I am grateful for sight!
of the 'lake' , and the butterfly garden. When my Mom died a year ago, she said;
"Look for butterflies", therefore I know she visits everyday. Gratitude and love surround
Me each day.

Today I am grateful for perspective and noticing things that I wouldn't normally see. We were standing outside a cathedral and my son said "take a picture with me standing right here for perspective." He was a tiny little figure in the bottom of the picture next to this giant tower of the cathedral. Last time we visited this particular one I didn't notice the gargoyles, I was to Intrigued by the many different patterns. This time I saw them though and ignored the patterns. A shift in perspective I suppose.

I am grateful for you and all the wonderful creative women that I have had an opportunity to connect with all over the globe through social media. You all inspire me with your unique creations and brave spirit to share your souls work with us all. I am inspired everyday! Thank you!
Today I am grateful that although I have been agonising about how to say something difficult to a new friend and carefully considered how best to do it, she recieved my words with a cheery "okay". It is such a relief.
Love your post about home... having lived many places I agree home isn't a place, it is a feeling.
Now what I am grateful, even though my mother has gone, I am so grateful for the awesome relationship we had and the memories I have of her and our lives together!
Since then, I have been incredibly blessed to have taken classes from some very fun and talented women since-the most recent being Tracy, down in Palm Desert. And talk about blessings...my first day of 'Painting Mojo' class, I got a call from my houseguests (who'd planned to return to Canada the day before, but then extended their visit an extra 2 days) that my husband was having a stroke and being taken to the hospital. Well, good morning to you, too! Poor Tracy-this wild eyed, panic stricken stranger (me), flinging my brushes at my table & running out of class, beating the ambulance to the ER...long story short, our houseguests diagnosed Jim's 'episode' off the internet (!!!), gave him an aspirin, called 911 and probably saved his life. At the very least, saved him from a stroke. He is fine now, (taking meds to reduce his BP and his Cholesterol until he is able to do so himself.)He's better than fine, really--cleaned up his bad habits, lost 20 lbs (the bugger!!) and we are both more than grateful for this turn of events. So, all in all, I have a great deal to be thankful for.

Hi Tracy!! Today I am grateful for the strength that vulnerability provides us when we are brave enough to be vulnerable. I feel it is important that we share our experiences with other people and offer ourselves in openness and honesty. Speaking our story will heal us and it may even heal somebody else. Telling your story frees you from carrying that pain or secret and can give other people permission to acknowledge their own story and stand in their truth as well. Sharing vulnerability connects us to each other, and for this, I am grateful.
