2017, a year to reflect and replenish..... so here we go my sweet creative friends and family..... Many of you know me well enough by now to know that I am not one for brief recaps.  Some of my annual recaps go on and on and on, but this year, I am resolving to put it all in a nutshell, or at least a tiny glimpse of it in a nutshell. **please read all the way to the bottom to enter my end of year giveaway. There are 10 spots in my upcoming Face Fascination class up for grabs AND an original painting!! After the intensity of last 2016 (you can catch up here ), my journey through breast cancer and subsequent treatment, I made the decision to take things way easier than I have done for the past five years. Day 18~ 30 days of blog lovin' seeing things through new eyes :)

so much beauty here in our area but it always comes home  when you show someone else where you live...  Judy and I hung out with the parrots today at beautiful Green Patch  and then walked through the trees at the BOODEREE Botanical Gardens.....  where Judy learned about scribbly gums and turpentine gums and paperbarks...  we found a wealth of inspiration in the landscape...  hieroglyphs in nature..... recorded with wonder... what a wonderful day :)

Day 17~30 days of blog lovin' what a weekend!

WE called roadside assistance and upon hearing of a two hour wait, felt our only option was to head down the street to show Judy the Aussie culture of the local bowling club and enjoy a beverage! The NRMA turned up before we had barely taken a sip so we left our drinks to head back to the car where the sweetest young guy ( Judy said he looked like George Harrison) got her started (the car that is) AND told us to go back and finish our drinks while he waited and...

Day 13~ 30 days of blog lovin"~ Orly Avineri is coming to Australia!!!

One of the things I LOVE the most about the information age is the speed of connectivity..... how like minded friends find each other in online communities and how friendships are then forged through deeper connection..... how the world becomes a much smaller place where ideas spread quickly and BIG plans are made and because of this very phenomenon through a few excitable email interactions an idea was hatched and brought into reality!!  18th and 19th January 2014 Orly Avineri at our home, Casa Cantamar Huskisson NSW Australia!!  Orly is one of the most insightful, soulful, creative, innovative and just plain beautiful teachers I know......her work can be found here if you have not yet had the pleasure...... Please don't miss out on this chance to explore the creative process through journaling...your world will not be the same after a class with Orly...
