Day 25 ~ Thirty days of gratitude :)

Yep that's my baby girl in the pic.......all glorious 16 years of her,  with her latest fitness love Pole Dancing! That's right pole dancing...and she had so much fun after completing a term that she has convinced big sister Santana to take it up too, and I was so impressed with their moves that I caved in and bought a pole for them which Marco, like a good dad, put up for them in prime position in the living room! So today I'm grateful for  flexibility! both in physical and thought form I love that the girls are doing something together that keeps them strong, fit and empowered as young women and I love that along the path of parenthood Marco and I have learnt flexibility in the ways in which we see the world both through our own eyes and through theirs. Maybe I might even give it a whirl...... hasta manana much love Tracy xox

Day 20~Thirty days of gratitude

“I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.” ― Mother Teresa Grateful today for spending the day with 18 amazing, unique, beautiful creative women and for realising more, each time I teach, how intertwined we are, how connected we are, how complex, how similar and how different. The gifts that come from such diversity are incredibly powerful when we open ourselves to receive them. Grateful also that even though sometimes I forget, each small stone I cast has ripples I will never see.  Looking forward to day two of Paint Mojo Avalon tomorrow :) xoxo   “I know there is strength in the differences between us. I know there is comfort, where we overlap.” ― Ani DiFranco

Day 19~Thirty days of gratitude

Its been a pretty amazing week, and I have been truly grateful for some pretty profound signs from the Universe, including one that stopped me in my tracks on the way to Avalon today to teach Paint Mojo this weekend. For some reason my phone does not want to upload the pic that would explain my cryptic ramblings to my laptop so will have to wait until I get home on Monday to explain, suffice to say that I am in the process of reassessing what personality means, how we come to think of ourselves the way we do and how we can reframe who we "think" we are. BIG stuff. Cant wait to share more when I get home and super g rateful for signs that make me "know" I'm heading in the right direction :)) lots of love...will check in tomorrow after Paint Mojo Avalon!   we're going to do a bit of this  a little of that...  a touch of that and a whole lot of this! Be sure to leave a little note below to be in the draw to win a painting this m...

Day18~Thirty Days of gratitude

“Hello, sun in my face. Hello you who made the morning and spread it over the fields...Watch, now, how I start the day in happiness, in kindness.” ― Mary Oliver Grateful today for words of wisdom from one of my favourite poets I hope they speak to you today, especially those of you going through difficult times.    “You must not ever stop being whimsical. And you must not, ever, give anyone else the responsibility for your life.” ― Mary Oliver     “Love yourself. Then forget it. Then, love the world.” ― Mary Oliver  “I stood willingly and gladly in the characters of everything - other people, trees, clouds. And this is what I learned, that the world's otherness is antidote to confusion - that standing within this otherness - the beauty and the mystery of the world, out in the fields or deep inside books - can re-dignify the worst-stung heart.” ― Mary Oliver  “Sometimes I n...

Day 17-Thirty days of gratitude

Hello gorgeous friends! It doesn't take long to find something to be grateful for does it? Tonight I'm going to prove it... with just fifteen minutes until my two different kinds of vegetarian cabbage rolls come out of the oven (sorry no recipes, I googled and then improvised!) I am going to use some of my photo folders (ahem... newly shiny and organised after three days of sorting!)  as prompts to trigger thoughts of gratitude.... here we go!!      grateful for every sunrise I see out of my bedroom window,  every new day I am privileged to experience on this Earth   grateful for the sunlight that makes beautiful patterns on the wall down the side passage of our casa leading to my studio......  for the weeping dwarf mulberry bush that has lived on this property twice as long as us...a constant reminder of the seasons cycles and my barometer that Spring has arrived with its first green leaf buds this week.......

Day 16~Thirty days of gratitude

hey beautiful people!  are you hanging in there with me? Riding down the gratitude path? finding things to be grateful for? Its such a powerful habit to cultivate I highly encourage it.... today I took some time out to continue sorting out my computer files I harassed my sweet editor Tonia with files I discovered and worried I hadn't sent her and in the end felt a whole lot better about where I am at with my book its a mammoth task you know and sometimes it feels overwhelming but I can really start to feel it coming together... Just hanging out here with my favourite people right now Marco, Santana and Sienna the kitties are feeling a bit put out because tonight was their Frontline night that's Aussie talk for spraying them all over with chemicals once a month so they wont die from ticks! Luna is nowhere to be found but Bella just jumped up onto Marcos chest and decided to forgive him once again I have to be honest with you ...
