Day 11~Thirty days of gratitude

One of the things I LOVE so much during my workshops is the element of surprise, the messages our creativity brings to us! The dialogue we can have with our work...

I notice my students getting so caught up in the "striving" and so I always take time to walk around and photograph small cropped areas of their works in progress....

there is so much beauty available to us in every single moment....

 if only we can stop.....

for long enough to see it...
synchronicity is everywhere,
like in the fact that as I am writing this I randomly arrived at this beautiful crop while I was writing those words.... you see?
and oh my!
I just noticed the outstretched hand in the image above this urging us to stop and notice♥

there is joy and love inherent in the process...the process of creating, the process of living....

there in every moment for us to recognise it before it gets covered up by the next thing....

Sometimes when I'm taking these photos sneakily....:)

 I show a student the beauty I have found in their work..and they agree;
"That's gorgeous! Whose work is that?"
"Its yours" I tell them.
So profound to look at your work as if you are looking at somebody elses....

 colours flow, loosely marking time...

and then we let them go..everything changes...

we are drawn to focus on one thing....

and then something more explosive takes our eye!

world within worlds, fire and ice...our imaginations run rampant!

and then we add another layer...just like life in its complexity.......

Sooooooo grateful for the hidden messages, the "whisper" gifts, the revelations that are always right there in front of us...
and grateful too to open my eyes to see them and help others  to do the same ♥

hasta manana amigos

I am grateful for reminders like these because I need a kick in the butt once in awhile because I forget. I need to do this myself in my art and for my students at school. I am forever telling them that the process is just as important, if not more important, than your end product. The most fun is looking at things thru different eyes but that is another story. Belinda

Tracy this is awesome, good for you reflecting back to your students like that. I woke up to this morning and felt so pleased and inspired to see the colour and your students mark making. I am planning on going into the garden today but am conflicted now with the desire to head to my studio.. :-)

I just had to check out your website, especially now that I'm registered for your workshop in Albuquerque next month. After having seen your work in various places, and just drooling over all the luscious colors...well, when my friend Annie announced the workshop, I put my hand up and said, "Me! Me! Me!" I am so excited to meet you and learn from you. Welcome to the Land of Enchantment!

Dear Tracy,
I loved this post today!
Yes. life is all about noticing, synchronicity, living in the moment, and being open to what the universe is ready to offer us.
Can't wait to meet you in Petaluma.
Hugs,
Vicki
